We offer one on one tuition in the art of lutherie. Learn to construct a wide variety of stringed instruments, including ukeleles, mandolins, resonator and weissenborn slide guitars, steel string and archtop acoustics, classical, romantic and flamenco guitars, acoustic basses and others.

BenchmarkGuitar specialises in the repair and restoration of guitars and other stringed instruments, the custom building of instruments to order, the sale of luthier supplies, and one on one tuition in the art of lutherie.
Our workshop has been created from the legacy of master luthier Gerard Gilet's 45 year old botany workshop and master luthier Darrell Wheeler's "Wheeler Custom Lutherie", which has relocated to Melbourne.
